| Don Pottery 'Named Italian Views' Tureen and Cover c1820 |
A famous series of views around Naples and Sicily by Don Pottery. The scenes were taken from engravings published in 'Voyage Pittoresque ou Description des Royaumes de Naples et de Sicile' by Jean Claude Richard de Saint-Non published in Paris c1781-86. This fine tureen is printed in medium blue with two scenes from the series on the cover and 'Ruins near Agrigenti' on the dish. For more details see Premier Antiques
