A vibrant Royal Doulton floral pattern rack plate block printed in contrasting cerise, green, blue and orange. Similar to the block printing processes used traditionally on African and Indian fabrics, a variety and intensity of colour could be achieved which was very much suited to the bold geometric designs of the 1920s and 30s.
