| Royal Doulton 'Floral Pattern K' Series Rack Plate c1939 D5996 |
A colourful Royal Doulton geometric 'floral pattern' rack plate block printed in contrasting cerise, mauve, blue, green and yellow. A lovely example of the 'Floral K' series introduced in 1929. Doulton were one of the few factories to retain a block printing department. It was an expensive and skilled process, though capable of producing clear, bright colours which epitomise the art deco period.
