Royal Doulton Art Nouveau 'Poppies B' Series Plate D3225 c1910

A classic art nouveau design introduced around 1909. Records show that it was in production until the late 1930s, although pieces now seem to be quite scarce and tend to date from the 1910 to 1920 period. Three colours of poppy are known; pink, blue and yellow. The block printed pattern looks particularly good on ranges of rack and dessert plates such as the one above.
