Sowerby Glass - Patent Ivory Queen's Ware

A colour reminiscent of carved ivory was developed by Sowerby as part of their vitro-porcelain range in the 1870s. 'Patent Ivory Queen's Ware' was registered, the cream tint resembling 18th century Wedgwood 'Queensware'. For more Sowerby glass see my website Premier Antiques
