| Burmantofts Faience Pottery 'Fan' Vase c1895 |
A rare Burmantofts Faience vase modelled as an open oriental fan with carved 'ivory' sticks, the 'paper' embossed with leaves and a large bow at the base - lovely turquoise glaze with fine detail. A similar vase with 'sang de boeuf' glaze was in the 1984 Geffrye Museum exhibition - details can be seen here in the Design Council archive.
