Ridgway's Angus Seats Series

John and William Ridgway 'Angus Seats' Series Dinner Plate c1815

A lovely pearlware dinner plate transfer printed in blue with a view from the Angus Seats Series. Most of the views in the series come from William Angus' 'The Seats of the Nobility and Gentry' 1787. Although the vignettes in the border and the sailing boat in the main view come from Angus the main scene is as yet unidentified. For more details visit Premier Antiques
