Introduced to great success in the early 1930s, primula was produced by Rubian Art Pottery and Royal Winton (both subsidiaries of Grimwade's). The two makes are often difficult to tell apart until you check the backstamp, although Rubian wares tend to use more variations of colour. For a selection visit Premier Antiques
