| Royal Doulton 'Sairey Gamp' Dickens Ware 6886 Vase c1910 |
Based on characters originally drawn by J C Clark ('Kyd'), this very collectable series was introduced by Charles Noke in 1908, the range being extended in 1912 to celebrate the centenary of Dickens' birth. Finely printed in sepia and then hand coloured, early vases like this one featuring Sairey Gamp are particularly difficult to find, especially in such good condition.
