A G Richardson (Crown Ducal) were one of the first to produce colourful sheet pattern floral chintzes, some of them dating back to the late Victorian period. 'Primula' was introduced in the late 1920s and is one of the first 'modern' chintzes where the flowers are smaller and more densely packed together.
