Hancock's Titian Ware

In the 1920s, F. X. Abraham the art director of Hancock & Sons developed a range of pottery which he called 'Rubens' and 'Titian' Ware. Rich designs of fruit on green or blue backgrounds reflected the art deco taste for hand painted wares. Stunning pieces which look great on their own or even more amazing grouped together on shelves or a dresser.

Here is an unusual shaped Titian Ware jug which when facing the other way shows different fruit and more colours. Almost like having two jugs in one!
