In 1924 Shelley employed Hilda Cowham, a well-known children's illustrator, to provide distinctive decoration for a new range of nursery wares. A few months later the first pieces were being sold bearing design registration numbers from 709687 onwards. This lovely Bo-peep plate captures the style of the period, using print and enamel techniques on bone china which made Shelley famous. It carries the first edition registration number 709692.
