The famous book illustrator began designing for Shelley in the 1920s with a few proto-type images and by 1926 was given full credit with the introduction of her BooBoo teapot, milk jug and sugar basin. Other  designs followed, printed on tableware intended for use by children. Difficult to find in reasonable condition, pieces in good order are now at a premium. From the 1920s to the 1950s, Shelley produced fine quality nursery ware based on the very popular images of childrens' illustrator Mabel Lucie Attwell. Difficult to find in good condition (many pieces didn't survive the rigours of the nursery) and highly prized when they are. For more see Premier Antiques
