Art Deco Chargers by Charlotte Rhead

I've always liked chargers because of their immediate impact. Unlike other shapes, you can see at once the full effect of the design. Often at exhibitions and trade fairs designers like Clarice Cliff and Charlotte Rhead would use them precisely for this reason. Some of the rarest one-off pieces were produced also to show the skills of the decorators. For more chargers and other examples of Charlotte Rhead pottery, visit Premier Antiques
