Royal Doulton 'Little Nell' Dickens Series 'A' Friar Jug c1910

The Dickens Ware series was introduced by Charles Noke in 1908 and was developed further with the centenary of Dicken's birth in 1912. One of the first shapes used was 'Friar', here is Little Nell on a small jug and Old Peggoty on a sugar basin. For more Dickens Ware see Premier Antiques
