Susie Cooper Kestrel Shape

Susie Cooper Crown Works Yellow 'Nosegay' Kestrel Teapot c1939

Probably the best know and most sought after shape that was introduced in 1932, it's sweeping finial and birdlike spout showing strong Art Deco influences. In interviews, Susie Cooper explained that the shape came about through experiments to find a spout that didn't drip. For a selection of Susie Cooper designs visit my website Premier Antiques
