| Crown Ducal 'Primula' Chintz Coffee Cup and Saucer c1930 |
A G Richardson (Crown Ducal) were one of the first to produce colourful sheet pattern floral chintzes, some of them dating back to the late Victorian period. 'Primula' was introduced in the late 1920s and is one of the first 'modern' chintzes where the flowers are smaller and more densely packed together. A very pretty design which works well on Crown Ducal's subtle art deco shapes. For more details see Premier Antiques
