Royal Doulton Shakespearean Characters 'Orlando' Miniature Vase c1920

A lovely series introduced in 1912 and featuring twelve characters from Shakespeare. Several modifications were made to the background and the series appears to have been withdrawn in the late 1920s. Some pieces were made in bone china, like the small 'Orlando' vase above, and there is finer hand painting on these items. For more details see Premier Antiques
