Clarice Cliff - Delecia Pansies

Clarice Cliff Bizarre 'Pansies' Bon Jour biscuit barrel c1933
The original Delecia effect was produced by mixing raw colour with turpentine which was then allowed to run over the ware leaving a pattern of randomly coloured drips. Introduced in 1929, several floral designs were then developed including daisies and pansies which used the delecia technique for the background. Here we have a superb biscuit barrel in the very collectible Bon Jour shape. The pattern and shape work beautifully together. For more details visit my website Premier Antiques
