Bough Pottery 'Crocus' Jug by Richard Amour, Edinburgh c1925 |
The Bough Pottery studio was set up in Edinburgh by Elizabeth Amour in 1913, after she had graduated from Glasgow School of Art. In the early 1920s she was joined by four members of her family, including her brother Richard who painted this superb crocus design jug (for more details visit Premier Antiques). The studio continued in operation until 1942, decorating blanks bought from various factories in Scotland and England.
