A rare Royal Doulton series designed by George Holdcroft and produced between 1905 and 1928. Printed in sepia and then hand coloured, there are nine known scenes with woodland landscape borders. Shown here on a rack plate is scene 7, two boys on a go-cart offering to tow a group of motorists who have broken down - with the caption 'Itch Yer On Guvenor?'
