Susie Cooper - Rex shape c1938 |
Susie Cooper used a wide selection of shapes in her early years, many of which were supplied by other factories such as Wood & Sons. Once she had established her own pottery she began to introduce a range of shapes which have become icons of design. One of the most elegant and practical is the Rex shape first produced in the mid 1930s and continued in the post war period. Here is a fine example; a coffee pot in Dresden Spray.
