Sowerby 'Turquoise' Vitro-porcelain pressed glass c1875

Sowerby first introduced their range of Vitro-porcelain glass in the 1870s. The first colour was 'Turquoise' in imitation of the mineral but also capturing the light bluishness of porcelain.
