Thomas & Benjamin Godwin 'Indian Scenery' Series Dessert Plate c1830 |
A Georgian pottery operated in Burslem by the Godwins from 1809 to 1834. One of their most notable products was a series featuring scenes of India. So far, four views have been discovered and here we have 'Tombs near Etaya on the Jumna River' (near Agra) on a lovely dessert plate. For more details see Premier Antiques
