Royal Doulton Early Motoring 'Yokel' Simon Jug D2406 c1910

A rare series designed by George Holdcroft with 9 known comic scenes of veteran motoring introduced in 1905 and produced sporadically till about 1928. This lovely Simon shape jug shows scene 9 - two motorists with their car bonnet up outside the Chequers Inn being watched by a bemused country yokel in a smock.
