Royal Doulton 'Bluebell Gatherers' Westcott Jug D3812 c1915

The Bluebell Gatherers was introduced in 1914 and it remained in production until 1928. Twelve known scenes depict a woman in a sun dappled woodland glade collecting bluebells. In five of the scenes she is accompanied by a young child. The border has flocks of birds in trees. A beautiful series and with only 14 years of production it is hard to find and very sought after.
