Antique vaseline glass

Vaseline Glass Posy Vase c1900

The most typical colour of uranium glass is pale yellowish-green, which in the 1920s led to the term 'vaseline' glass being used as it looked as if the glass had been smeared with petroleum jelly. Here shown on a fine posy vase with vertical ribbed panels. For more details see Premier Antiques
