Molly Hancock 'Cremorne' vase c1930 |
A design based on the Cremorne Gardens near Battersea Bridge, which for many years enjoyed great popularity as a place of alfresco amusement; concerts, dancing, fireworks, marionettes, balloon ascents, ballets, farces, and equestrian exhibitions. Now defunct, this amazing place is vibrantly captured by Molly Hancock's art deco design. For more details see Premier Antiques
