Victorian Staffordshire Copper Lustre

A fine 19th century jug with moulded dancers, first introduced by George Ray in the 1850s when dancing the polka became popular. The jug has a rich copper lustre glaze with details picked out in blue enamel on an elaborate shape which epitomizes high Victorian style. See more lustre wares at my website Premier Antiques
