Now known as 'Original Bizarre' to signify the early Bizarre range in its original form, produced between 1928 and 1930. Simple blocks of geometric designs were outlined with a contrasting colour and used initially to decorate old Newport shapes. The paintresses were taught to apply the enamels thickly and to exaggerate brush strokes to emphasize the hand painted nature of the wares. For a selection of these wonderful early pieces visit
