John Davenport 'Bisham Abbey' Dinner Plate c1810 |
A scene previously called 'Tudor Mansion', but now generally acknowledged to be Bisham Abbey near Henley-on-Thames. A finely potted plate impressed 'Davenport' with an anchor. Lower case letters signify the early mark c1798-1815; upper case letters used 1815-1860. For more details see Premier Antiques
