Named after the royal estate and castle in Scotland, Balmoral is a profusion of pink roses, anemones, forget-me-nots and yellow coreopsis with white daisies and sprays of other meadow flowers set against a black background. A stylish design produced in the late 1930s and 1940s. Not seen that often in the UK, so possibly made for export as more pieces seem to appear in the US and Canada.
