Copeland and Garrett - Green Majolica

Royal Winton Pastels - Tiger Lily

Royal Winton Lakeland
Grimwades first advertised Lakeland in early 1936 and a display at the British Industries Fair launched the range a month later. Two colour variations were produced and items made include preserve pots, cream and sugar sets, dishes and mint sauce boats. Pearl Ware
Originally made by Wedgwood in the 1770s as an improvement on Creamware, the whiteness of the earthenware body was enhanced with small quantities of cobalt blue being added to the glaze. Where the glaze gathers, such as around foot rims, it shows up clearly as a blue or sometimes greenish tint. Other potters soon found it ideal for blue printed wares. Royal Winton - Cottage Ware
The relief moulded cottage wares produced by Grimwades under the Royal Winton and Rubian Art trade names were first introduced in 1929. Throughout the 1930s new lines were introduced to great acclaim, and always innovative, Grimwades used some items as 'premiums'. Customers could save vouchers when buying chocolate for example, and redeem them against a four piece set comprising a teapot, hot water pot, cream and sugar. Burtles Tate of Manchester - Opalescent Pressed Glass
The firm was founded in Manchester in 1858 at the Poland Street glass works, in the Oldham Road area, and closed in 1924. It specialised in flint, coloured, blown and pressed glass, and probably their most famous items were the opalescent glass swans made in several sizes - the larger intended for use as creamers and the smaller as salts. Arriving in style.... and comfort
The Queen arriving today in the Australian State Coach for the State Opening of Parliament. The coach was a gift from the Australian people in 1988 and was designed and made by renowned coach builder W.J. Frecklington. Drawn by six horses the coach is fitted with electric windows, heating and hydraulic stabilisers.

Henry Greener - Sunderland Glass
In 1857 Henry Greener left the Gateshead firm of Sowerby to start pressed glass production with James Angus at the Wear Flint Glass Works in Sunderland.
